GRITS has managed to be self-sustained since inception. 

There is an annual administrative assessment of $85 and an annual membership of $216- or a monthly option of $20. We do a variety of fundraisers throughout the year and even have paid events, however, it’s not enough to cover all expenses for what is provided with the young ladies. Many times, there are young ladies needing to be transported to make meetings, events, or community projects, and there are gas expenses amongst other expenses of materials for each workshop. Oftentimes, the parents have very limited income but they have proven to have strong desires to invest in their daughter’s future. So, because they are committed and try then we will go even harder for them to make sure they are able to travel to multiple states and visit potential colleges they may desire to attend. This is why we aim to expose them to some of the finer things in life like luxury spas and hotels, Stage plays and concerts, national museums and amusement parks- just to name a few. These are the things that some of the hard-working parents may not be able to afford if they are experiencing temporary hardships. Because if this, we welcome your  donations- monetarily and in kind!
